Dave Mason

Dave Mason

Chief Executive Officer

Dave has over 25 years’ experience in change, operations and technology in Wealth and Investment Management. He co-founded Solve Partners as a consultancy, resourced by industry practitioners, that specialises in the Wealth sector in early 2023. Prior to joining Solve, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Sanlam UK, worked with startups in the UHNW Wealth Management sector and led technology teams in Barclays.

Dave has experience in delivering major change initiatives including acquisitions, new business and product launches and platform migrations.

He has significant c-suite experience as well as the ability to get into the detail to find the root cause of issues and works collaboratively with teams to get to solutions.

Becky Colegrave

Director

Becky has worked in the Investment and Wealth Management sectors for over 20 years, initially working as an Equity Investment Manager before following her passion to lead projects full time as a programme manager.

Becky has experience in a range of companies, from boutique financial planners to FTSE 100 Asset Managers, and has delivered major programmes of work across business change (e.g. acquisition integrations, middle office migrations, operating model and corporate entity optimisations), IT software implementations (e.g. Major Shareholding Notification monitoring; Revenue Manager fee billing; Finance Data Warehouse design), and regulatory change (Brexit; Anti-Money Laundering; Common Reporting Standards; PAIF; short selling).

Her flair is for building and nurturing high performing teams, asking the right questions to unlock issues, and keeping stakeholders engaged and informed.

Mark Elliott

Mark Elliott

Director

Mark has over 25 years’ experience in operations, solution design and change within Wealth and Investment Management. Prior to joining Solve, he was Head of Business Architecture at Sanlam UK and has worked with several Wealth Managers.

Mark has worked on a number of large-scale change and regulatory projects. He has managed delivery of complex performance data integrations, delivery of investment proposition solutions and implementation of new core systems to wealth managers alongside the devising of target operating models.

He has the ability to rapidly understand an organisations current operating platform and work with management to identify end to end solutions to drive operational efficiency.

Farzana Khalil

Director

Farzana has over 15 years’ experience in the Wealth, Investment Management and Platform market. Prior to joining Solve, Farzana led the customer function at Seccl, had various roles at Multrees including heading up proposition development and the engineering functions, as well as handling change programmes covering digital transformation, system upgrades, platform selection and migration, as well as other strategic initiatives.

Farzana’s ethos to achieving the right client outcomes, stems from her time working for the global multi-family office Fleming Family & Partners (now Stonehage Fleming), where she worked alongside the Relationship and Investment managers focusing on delivering client outcomes.

Karl Cranswick

Karl Cranswick

Director

Karl has worked in the Wealth and Investment Management industry for 20 years. His career started in operations where he was a treasury dealer at Towry before moving to SEI and Veritas Investment Management where he held relationship and project management roles. Karl has been a management consultant specialising in the Wealth industry since 2016.

Karl has extensive expertise in business transformation, outsourcing, solution providers, proposition design and post M&A integration. Karl is equally comfortable advising clients as he is leading complex programmes of change.

Having led a number of high-profile integrations, Karl is dedicated in ensuring the right outcome is achieved by the client and that business drivers are fully realised. He is a strong advocate that working with the client teams and embedding them in the programme results in greater success.

Blake Walton

Senior Consultant

Blake has over 10 years’ experience in Financial Services and Wealth Management. He started his career as a graduate with Nationwide Building Society and has since held various roles within project and strategy management across different businesses.

Blake has led large programmes of change and has experience in regulation, software implementation, data migrations and decommissioning.

His passion is leading high performing teams through complex change with a focus on detailed planning and communication.

Gilly Green

Business Advisor to Solve Partners

Gilly Green has spent 35 years in the wealth management industry as a practitioner and consultant. As FoxRed Insight, she now mentors teams and individuals in wealth management firms, suppliers and consultancies in realising their potential within a complex and competitive industry.

Until recently, Gilly was a Managing Partner at Sionic (now Davies) as Global Head of the Wealth Management & Private Banking Practice, where she built up an award-winning consulting team.

She combines strategic, operational transformation and client service experience with strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of M&A, digital solutions, supplier engagement and corporate governance. She has worked with senior management and Boards of plcs, private equity and privately owned firms to build and execute strategy and vision with emphasis on leadership by example and culture led from the top.

Her wide perspective, experience and understanding of the wealth management industry has earned her a reputation for excellence and for having a strong network and powerful influencing skills at executive and board level.

Donald Reid

Founder & NED

Donald has more than 35 years’ experience in Financial Services and Wealth management. He co-founded Solve Partners as a consultancy, resourced by industry practitioners, that specialises in the Wealth sector in early 2023.

Prior to Solve he was Group COO for Tilney Smith & Williamson (now Evelyn Partners), having joined one of the predecessor firms, Bestinvest as both COO and CFO in 2010.

He was instrumental in leading the business through significant operational change through several large scale and bolt on acquisitions (including Towry), re-platforming and supporting organic growth during private equity ownership. Before 2010 he was Managing Director, Operations for UBS Wealth Management in the UK, Head of UK Operations for Barclays Wealth, and CFO for Barclays Stockbrokers, having trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in the early 1980’s.
